For Most Improved Designer, you had to stay til the end. Lucian Matis (Project Runway runner-up) was the week's showstopper, presenting a fall collection that actually looked like fall: enchanted forest colours, shadowy satins and florals, separates that looked tailored instead of just...ruffled. And even if you wouldn't wear a stitch of it, you had to appreciate the styling, from the arresting jewellery (Dandi Maestre creations so organic, so bonelike and stark, they looked excavated) to the, yes, real elk antlers. Proudest Moments - Watching
Evan Biddell and Lucian Matis' shows left us feeling like a proud
parent.
Both former PRC contestants are officially
at the top of their game.
Matis (right) may get extra credit as a result of designing the
patterns for the silk fabrics he used AND having them produced in
Canada. A++

Lucian Matis - This was one of my favorite collections -very
powerful - very feminine.
Wild hair yet wilder accessories. Many models propped with giant
antlers (perhaps a Canadian references lol) and stunning, large horn
jewellery by Dandi Maestre. The clothing was elegant and incredibly
tailored with details such as visible zippers, draping and sequins.
Very sexy without being leather-clad and futuristic.
